Privacy Notice

Effective July 16, 2026. This notice describes information handled when someone visits Glascock County Released Inmates, uses a partner search tool, or sends a message. It also explains cookies, outside links, data sharing, security, and available privacy choices.

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent directly to the third-party company operating that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our systems. The provider's own privacy terms control its handling of a submitted query.

If you email us or use a contact form, we keep the message and contact details as needed to answer. We do not share that correspondence outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.

Automatic Technical Data

Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads, including:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser type and version;
  • device category and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent;
  • the referring site, when supplied; and
  • access dates and timestamps.

Cookies and similar technologies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies, although some features may then work differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected information supports limited operational purposes:

  • keeping pages available and responsive;
  • sending search requests to the selected partner;
  • understanding which resources visitors use;
  • finding errors, abuse, and performance problems; and
  • displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.

Outside Sites and Advertising

Links lead to Glascock sheriff and court pages, Georgia corrections and supervision systems, federal locators, release-record sources, and outside search services. After a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use of information.

Advertising partners may use their own cookies or identifiers to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs on their systems, not in a Glascock County government database or a record hosted here.

Who May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:

  • search partners that process a query;
  • analytics providers that measure site use;
  • advertising networks that deliver or assess ads; and
  • law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.

Georgia's Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. section 50-18-70 et seq., governs records held by public agencies. It does not turn messages sent to this private site into Glascock County records.

Security Practices

We use standard safeguards appropriate to a small informational website. No internet transmission, account, database, or connected service can be guaranteed breach-proof, so absolute security is not promised.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may ask us to review and delete it.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Partner searches and linked services must be addressed to the company that received the data.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this privacy notice as services or legal requirements change. A revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
